Having originally qualified and worked as a Quantity Surveyor, I have worked in the roofing industry for almost twenty years, the last 11 in the single ply sector. Following a period with Sarnafil and in contracting, I joined IKO in 2005 to launch the SpectraRoof Division alongside their more established Permanite, Ruberoid and Marley brands. I was proud to be elected to the Council in April 2008. |

Jim Hooker was technical director of British Flat Roofing Council from 1994 to 2000 before setting up his own consultancy. He provides all technical administrative and financial support to SPRA. "The excellent reputation of single ply is down to high quality materials and their supply only to properly trained installers. It's my job to ensure that relationship is maintained positively in an expanding market".
