“My election to the chair from a specialist contractor shows the importance SPRA places not just on good quality products but also on their correct installation. I know at first hand that major contractors and general builders are ultimately vital to the delivery of high quality roofing because they manage sequencing, protection and following trades. During my tenure I want to improve links with general contractors and to ensure our membership delivers the SPRA quality message. I also want to build the contractor membership so that a SPRA supply chain is available in all sectors, anywhere in the UK. Increased energy efficiency is easily achievable with single ply technology and we will be in the forefront of consultation on the new Building Regulations Part L. Robseal Roofing win at 2008 Roofing Awards.

SPRA sponsored the single ply competition at NFRC Roofing Awards 2008, Cardiff. SPRA member Robseal Roofing were judged best in class for their outstanding work on the challenging London Maggies Centre designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour+Partners. Another SPRA member, Delomac Roofing, was short-listed. Congratulations to both.
