CITB today unveils its three-year Business Plan

The CITB Business Plan is a reforming programme of work designed to modernise its business and relentlessly focus on skills. Based on feedback from levy-payers, industry and the Government’s ITB Review, Vision 2020: Business Plan 2018-21 (PDF, 552KB) https://www.citb.co.uk/documents/businessplan/citb-businessplan-2018-21.pdf outlines how CITB will become the focused, strategic skills body for British construction. In addition to the creation of a Training Directory The plan includes the creation of a new Construction Training Directory and Construction Register to ensure employers can access the sustainable, high quality training provision they need to train their workforce in current and emerging skills in a timely manner. However, it also includes the plan to outsource all training, both mainstream and specialist. It is important that contractors understand the plan and the implications to their business with respect to future training options. SPRA is keen to here comments from membership and others working in the single ply industry, so do get in touch. We would also advise that you forward any comments relating to this Business Plan direct to katyneave@citb.co.uk for consideration by CITB.
