Last week, SPRA, LRWA, NFRC and LCA all came together to hold a Basic Competency Programme (BCP) Workshop to share best practice, launch a new video, promote ‘train the trainer funding’ and to start thinking about phase 2.
Bob Richardson from NFRC welcomed everyone to the workshop, then I provided a background summary to the programme covering its aims and objectives, along with up to date information on CITB funding changes. A reminder that funding was still available to support Level 3 Award in Education and Training went down particularly well. Please note, if any member has trainers that are not qualified to teach, this is a great opportunity to get them a formal introductory qualification. Visit our BCP page on the SPRA website to find out more. Sarah Spink, CEO of LRWA then took over to launch the new BCP video and went on to host the workshop session on sharing best practice and exploring future training and support ideas.
