With holidays over for most it seems that key industry bodies and government departments are coming back on stream. This has resulted in a flurry of information coming forward over the last week from these sources. Most notable is information concerning the end of the ‘Transition Period’ after leaving the EU and guidance in our ‘Members Area’ relates to products in general as well as construction products in particular from UK Government, Build UK and the CPA. I hope members will find this informative. There is also more information this week on the Talent Retention Scheme developed by the CLC and supported by government that aims to keep the necessary skills within our industry and I’d urge members and non-members alike to consult this information. In addition to this the Kickstart Scheme has been announced for some 16-24 year olds as outlined below.
Also, in our ‘Members Area’ this week: there is information from the NFRC concerning a ‘Safety Alert’ about an increased fire risk on CLASP buildings when carrying out hot works. Finally, there are details and an invite for SPRA members to attend a webinar being run by the CPA involving HR Challenges Bringing People Back to Work.
So, all in all, there is a pretty packed edition of our Weekly Newsletter for readers to review.
Wishing all SPRA members a safe and successful week
