The SPRA Autumn Series begins next week, on Monday 15th November with a one hour Technical Panel Discussion hosted by Nigel Blacklock with the CPA (Peter Caplehorn) and BBA (Bill Hewlett) on important current issues including CCPI, Lexicon, Certification and Building Safety. It’s all freely available to join online so see our information below and please ensure you register to book your place at this and the other series events. Only those registered will receive the Zoom invitation to join online.

Our Members Area covers training and assessment relating to SAP, SUP and OSAT and we encourage all wishing to develop their employees’ skills and qualifications in single ply roofing to contact SPRA. Please note we have some places available for participants on a new SAP 12 starting before the end of this year. Ensure you read our training webpage concerning the SAP programme for SPRA members. We are in the second and final week of the COP26 in Glasgow and there are some specific events of interest to all involved in construction. Please ensure you read CO2nstruct Zero ‐ Get Involved, COP 26 – An Introduction and what is happening in Glasgow and information on the Built Environment Day on Thursday 11th November. where the CLC will be showcasing progress towards net zero in an open virtual session at 9:30am that anyone can join.
We highlight again this week some documents for download from the various industry bodies. For members there is the opportunity to download the Autumn 2021 edition of the CPA Construction Industry Forecasts. And the CPA State of Trade Survey Q3. There is also the latest update from Prof. Nobel Francis on UK Economy and Construction.
There are additional important items this week including the latest CLC People Survey with an opportunity to respond online and a summary of the UK Governments’ Support for Skills announced in the recent Budget and Spending Review.
Finally we also include the latest CLC statement on materials and labour shortages and an item on payment performance of some Build UK members.
