SPRA Weekly News this week focuses on a raft of information coming from industry bodies with issues ranging from Brexit and Covid-19 to CITB Levy and a Competition Law Risk Guide update in our Members Area.
As the end of the Transition Period (31st December 2020) approaches, we are seeing more information emerging concerning the changes for business thereafter. We highlight this week a letter from HMRC in this respect. Also Build UK report on an outbreak of Covid-19 on a construction site investigated by the HSE . The latest UK GDP figures were published this week and are also given in our General Area.
Specifically for SPRA members we highlight some guidance information from Build UK concerning Covid-19 and managing contracts as well as an update by the Competition and Markets Authority to the Competition Law Risks Guide to assist businesses comply with competition law.
In the Members Area there is also an update/reminder that collection of the CITB resumes this month and finally that the CSIC in Scotland has launched a Masters Programme that may be of interest to businesses in construction with a research and development need.
