Again, this week there is a lot of information coming from both government and other industry bodies for SPRA members to be aware of.
Firstly, SPRA were delighted to be able to re-start our latest SAP this month, which was temporarily suspended due to the COVID outbreak in March. Cathie Clarke gives an update for all in this week’s news.
We would like to draw your attention to two interesting and hopefully helpful webinars being run by the CPA during October for which registration is required. The first concerns Brexit and discusses the main issues that remain unresolved including the use of CE, UK(NI) and UKCA markings as part of its content. The second explores the challenges that the new construction landscape will pose for construction product manufacturers and their customers and deals with digitalisation, competency and a new code for product information.
Finally in the General Area this week, TrustMark has published guidance on the Green Homes Grant on the requirements for its Scheme Operators.
In our SPRA Members Area this week there is considerably more information hopefully of benefit to members. This includes three different pieces of information concerning Covid-19 relating to the CLC update on face coverings, information on the requirement for workplace canteens to create and display an official NHS QR poster and general guidance by Build UK on managing Covid-19 within Contracts. There is also an update on the Talent Retention Scheme.
The final piece this week is another in our monthly series ‘A view from the SPRA Council’. This week Steve Downey (Commercial Director, DANOSA UK) gives his views relating to SPRA, his background and our industry sector.
As always, we wish all SPRA members a safe and successful week
