During the past week, SPRA has been continuing with its ongoing annual member audit programme and also working on new member applications. We are both grateful and pleased that prospective members have asked us to continue with their applications during this very difficult time when we know that cash and cashflow are incredibly important concerns for all businesses.
However, on passing the membership entrance audit, our latest soon-to-be contractor member said “It’s great to finally be a part of the SPRA Community!”.
This means so much to us on so many levels. The fact that our efforts and activities over the years to ensure that SPRA is a community of like-minded organisations, rather than just a collection of same, is evident from this response. Indeed, to want to be part of our community, to work together for the benefit of the industry, and to understand the wide range of benefits to members which are there for the taking, is both appreciated and welcomed.
Many might feel that when cash is tight, renewal of a trade association membership might be high on the list of re-considerations. However, at times of crisis, good trade associations will really come into their own with the level, quality and value of support, communication and influence that they can offer for their members. We strive to make SPRA an excellent trade body, and we can only be encouraged by comments like those from our latest (soon to be) member, that we are matching up to our own expectations.
