SPRA Council and Council Elections

I am pleased to tell you know that Pete Baker from Tata Steel has automatically been re-elected onto the SPRA Council representing the Associate Members following an uncontested election. I would like to thank Pete for ongoing commitment to SPRA and look forward to working with him over the next two years. Read more

This is a perfect time to remind you that according to our Company Articles, Council members stand for a period of two years, at which point the place must be offered for election, although existing Council member(s) may stand for re-election if they wish. Many places will be up for elections just prior to the AGM on the 20th of June and are open to anyone within a membership company working at Director/Board level. So even though we won’t be seeking nominations until May, you might like to start thinking about standing yourself or speaking to a colleague who you think may be interested. SPRA has a pro-active Council that works on behalf of members and the wider industry – for instance, members are currently involved with both the Retentions and PQ standardisation process issues. The Council meets four times per year, two of which coincide with the SPRA Conference and the SPRA Golf Day.
