Air Export Specialist – Oil & Gas

Job Description:

We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Air Export Specialist with experience in international air freight forwarding, ideally in the oil and gas sector. This role is responsible for managing A-Z export operations, ensuring on-time departure, compliance with regulations, and seamless coordination across all stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a mix of DG certification , IATA knowledge , and the ability to move time-critical cargo under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle air export shipments , including routing, booking, documentation, and AES filing
• Prepare and process commercial invoices, air waybills (AWBs) , DG declarations , SLI, and export permits
• Coordinate with airlines , ground handlers , trucking partners , and overseas agents to ensure timely uplifts
• Track and trace cargo, identify risks or delays, and provide real-time updates to customers
• Ensure compliance with TSA , IATA , EAR , and ITAR regulations for international air exports
• Handle oilfield tools , rig parts , and hazardous materials per client and carrier SOPs

Requirements:

• 3+ years in air export operations , preferably within freight forwarding or O&G logistics
• Strong understanding of international shipping, DG handling, and IATA standards
• Familiarity with AES filings , DG/IATA certification preferred
• Experience using TMS systems (e.g. CargoWise , Magaya , SAP )
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and client service skills

Preferred Background:

• Freight forwarders with verticals in energy, EPCs, or project cargo
• Exposure to global trade lanes, particularly Middle East, South America, and Sub-Saharan Africa
• Hands-on with both standard and charter airfreight
