Job Description:
Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist
No. of openings: 10 (Multiple shift/schedule options available)
Location: Arcata, CA
Schedule: Mon-Fri with EOW (3x12) (8x5) (10x4)
Shift: Day/ Evening/ Night (As per candidates' preference)
Pay Range: $55 - $60 hour DOE
Job Summary:
Conduct various diagnostic tests on blood, urine, and other bodily fluids to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Interpret test results and data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the findings.
Use and maintain complex laboratory instruments and equipment, such as microscopes, centrifuges, and analyzers.
Prepare and standardize reagents and solutions, and handle and process biological samples according to established protocols.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and precision of test results.
Record and document test results, observations, and other relevant information in laboratory information systems or paper records.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and handle biohazardous materials appropriately.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including those set by agencies such as CLIA, CAP, and OSHA.
Licensure and Certification:
Current California CLS or MLS license.
CLS Generalist preferred. Must have recent blood banking experience
Must have TB clearance done within past 12 months.
