Job Description

We are looking for Millwork Delivery Drivers for a growing team at a manufacturing and distribution company in Jacksonville . American Builders Supply is Florida’s largest independent supplier of lumber, truss, doors and windows. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers.

Job Purpose

The Driver will be responsible for delivering trim, doors, and other Millwork items to jobsites while capturing proof of delivery in real time. The following description details the duties. These duties include but are not limited to the following functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review current day clipboard with assigned deliveries.
• Deliver materials to jobsite, take photos, and sign tickets as Proof of Delivery of product delivered.
• At delivery, review each item on ticket, and verify all materials are accounted for.
• At delivery, if discrepancy noticed, notify Order Entry and Shipping with picture of discrepancy.
• Using the Bistrack Mobile App, for each stop, mark Delivered and take a picture of delivery to attach to the order.
• Submit signed pick tickets to Shipping Dept.
• Pick up extra or incorrect material as returns and bring back to Warehouse.
• Submit Return Pick Tickets to Dock Manager.

General:

• Working and driving safely.
• Report any unsafe conditions.
• Pre-trip inspection of service vehicle and maintenance scheduling of that vehicle.
• Once trained, provide training to new Drivers.
• 5S truck at end of day.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Qualifications:

• Class B CDL Preferred
• 1-3 years prior driving experience.
• Some knowledge of construction supplies.
• Ability to think fast.
• Ability to manage time to get the job done within the time allotted.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good math skills are a plus.
• Team Player.
• Clean driving record.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to safely lift, up to 100 lbs.

Worling Conditions

• Job requires some extended hours, as needed, to accomplish job requirements.
• Job requires working in a construction site which includes load noises, high temperatures, and humidity.
• Job requires working in and around machinery/powered equipment and associated safety risks.
• Job requires interaction with all levels within the location and all their direct reports (as needed).
• Job requires interaction with customers to resolve issues.

Physical Requirements:

• Job requires lifting, standing, walking, and sitting for long periods of time around a manufacturing and/or warehouse facility as well as on the construction site.
