Job Description

Job Title: Environmental Project Engineer

Location: New York

Salary: $90,000 - 115,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced and driven professionals for an Environmental Project Engineer position who will be responsible for engineering design efforts by applying general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, and execute project assignments. The role involves supporting and contributing to a variety of environmental projects, including site assessments, remediation, construction oversight, stormwater management, permitting, and project coordination under the guidance of Senior Engineers, Geologists, and Environmental Scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys using tools such as GPS and ground-penetrating radar, and perform site assessments to support environmental projects.
  • Analyze and manage field data to assess site conditions and evaluate environmental impacts in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.
  • Support the development of environmental studies, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Remedial Work Plans, and mine site evaluations.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of site remediation and cleanup activities under the supervision of senior management, recommending appropriate technologies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables while meeting quality standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical documents such as environmental reports, impact assessments, and inspection reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, technical project work, and project management
  • New York Professional Engineer License
  • Strong written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Erosion and Sediment Control Certificate preferred
