Job Description

Our confidential client is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Custodians to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. This role offers flexibility to work either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's availability and the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing various areas such as offices, restrooms, break rooms, and hallways. Perform waste removal, including emptying trash bins and recyclable
• Ensure that all facilities are well-maintained, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, cleaning products).
• Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, following proper safety protocols.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager in a timely manner.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or requests from staff and visitors promptly.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Support event setups, including ensuring spaces are clean and organized before and after functions.
• Work evenings and weekends as required, especially during overnight programs and special events.
• Perform landscaping tasks in and around the landside Visitor Center and parking areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, positive demeanor.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and climbing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, in areas that may be hot, cold, damp, or drafty depending on the weather.
• Exposure to variable temperatures, including extreme summer heat and winter cold, especially in unheated or non-air-conditioned areas.
• Must be able to navigate steep stairs, ladders, narrow passageways, and metal decks.
• Must be able to work weekends, as well as day-time and night-time schedules.

Salary & Benefits:

• $20.00 per hour
• Flexible scheduling (Part-time / Full-Time)
