Lab Coordinator

Location: Newport Beach, CA (Mixing Facility)

Reports to: Sterile Compounding Operations Manager

Role Summary

Responsible for maintaining laboratory cleanliness, organization, and supply management. Supports daily operations through accurate labeling, inventory tracking, and product ordering. Ensures compliance with safety standards and assists clinical and administrative staff as directed.

Core Role Responsibilities:

• Administrative functions such as printing, scanning, packaging/shipping and uploading documents.
• Assisting with the gathering and preparation of components for compounding (wiping components with isopropyl alcohol wearing gloves).
• Clean and disinfect laboratory surfaces, counters, and equipment according to established protocols.
• Maintain organization of lab materials, storage areas, and specimen-handling zones.
• Accurately label samples, reagents, and supplies following internal and regulatory labeling standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder laboratory products and consumables before depletion.
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming mixing facility supplies.
• Dispose of biohazard and chemical waste per OSHA and facility guidelines.
• Calibrate and clean reusable instruments as assigned.
• Assist in maintaining temperature logs for refrigerators, freezers, and incubators.
• Document daily cleaning, supply checks, and maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising clinical or administrative staff.

Hourly Rate: $24.00-$25.00

Full Time Position: working Monday- Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

Required Skills:

• 1–2 years of administrative, laboratory, or healthcare/wellness experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic laboratory safety and infection control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedural accuracy.
• Proficiency with inventory systems and basic computer skills.
• Availability to adjust hours to meet facility scheduling needs.

Work Environment:

Clinical laboratory or medical office setting with exposure to biohazardous materials and chemical

agents under controlled conditions. PPE required at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to stand and walk to traverse the entire facility.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle to drive between assigned district clinics.
