The Company:

Our client is a small but fast growing laboratory supplies and biotech solutions company that has a true passion for what they do. They foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where employees can grow professionally. Right now, they are building a new lab team and seeking a skilled lab manager!

The Role:

• Manage daily lab workflows and scheduling
• Ensure instruments, equipment, and software are properly maintained and calibrated
• Oversee sample tracking, reagent preparation, and data documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels for reagents, consumables, and equipment, order supplies and manage vendor relationships, and track usage trends to forecast purchasing needs.
• Supervise lab technicians and researchers, coordinate training on lab protocols, safety procedures, and equipment use
• Set work schedules and evaluate team performance
• Ensure the lab meets all regulatory and safety standards including maintaining SDS documentation and chemical hygiene plans and conducting regular safety audits and trainings
• Implement and monitor QC protocols to maintain experimental consistency
• Manage the lab's budget and approve purchases
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Act as a liaison between lab staff and upper management
• Support cross-functional collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams.
• Set up GMP manufacturing

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of lab management or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of GMP manufacturing and compliance
• Ability to work on site in St. Petersburg, FL
