Overview

IST Management is seeking a Mail Shipping/Receiving and Courier to join the Franklin team! The Mail Shipping/Receiving and Courier will be responsible for on-site mail shipping and receiving services, courier services in the surrounding area utilizing company vehicles, and general administrative services in a team environment. Ideal candidates will display excellent customer service skills, possess a valid driver's license, are supremely reliable, and are willing to train as necessary. Prior shipping/receiving experience required. Prior courier experience a plus.

Compensation: $15.00-16.00 per hour, depending on experience

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (8 hours)

Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities include:

• Operate FedEx and IST equipment/software
• Provide high levels of customer care and a friendly, cooperative attitude
• Typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned
• Enter accountable packages into IST system for deliver and send emails to end-users.
• Pick-up and deliver mail, parcels and faxes to customers while lifting large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper
• Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
  
  

Courier Responsibilities include:

• Driving company cars on behalf of IST to deliver necessary mail in the surrounding area as assigned
• Daily schedule and routes
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines for vehicle and equipment
  
  

General Responsibilities include:

• Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
• Take direction from supervisor or site manager
• Participate in cross-training
• Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail
• Adhere to all safety procedures
• Perform other tasks as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

Ideal candidates for the Mail Shipping/Receiving and Courier position will display excellent customer service skills, are supremely reliable, and are willing to train as necessary. Prior shipping/receiving experience required. Prior courier experience a plus. Additional qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Keyboarding and Windows environment PC skills required; Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment; Competency in performing multiple functional tasks; Ability to meet the employer's attendance policy
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work; Willingness to Submit an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) in order to be eligible to drive on behalf of IST and client
• Physical Requirements include:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
  • Standing and sitting for long periods
  • Significant walking
