Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced professional to become their next Safety Manager for their manufacturing facility north of Seattle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Leadership: Develop and implement site-specific Health and Safety programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align objectives.
• Safety Culture Champion: Foster a safety-first mindset across the organization, leading safety committees and promoting employee engagement.
• Regulatory Compliance Expert: Provide guidance to management on compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Hazard Assessment Pro: Evaluate operational hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure protective measures are in place.
• Training Guru: Conduct OSHA compliance training and operational hazard-specific training.
• Injury Management Leader: Support Workers’ Compensation claims management, investigating incidents and recommending preventive measures.
• Manage third party security company.

What You Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
• Experience: 7+ years in Industrial Safety, with 5 years minimum in manufacturing, preferably in consumer goods/food.
• Certifications: Strong OSHA (certification a must), ASP or CSP (certifications a plus).
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred
• Experience managing or supervising a team
• Experience managing security team (in house or external) preferred
