Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced seamstress to join our team. We create luxury ready-to-wear, evening wear and resort wear in our West Palm Beach Atelier. Candidates will be sewing bias-cut garments and working with chiffon, silk charmeuse, linen, cotton and sequins. This position requires you to have extensive experience working with fine fabrics and sewing on a bias along with a strong knowledge of draping, cutting and working on industrial machines.
Responsibilities:
Must have extensive experience sewing fine fabrics such as lace, chiffon, charmeuse and sequins. Experienced in cutting and sewing bias garments and sewing French seams.
Must be experienced with sewing on industrial sewing machines.
Take direction and sew production and garment alterations according to designer and customer specifications.
Knowledge of how to measure customers for accurate fitting and adjust garments accordingly. Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Experience in garment construction and cutting.
Proficiency in sewing, cutting on bias and operating an industrial sewing machine.
Knowledge of the fashion industry and trends
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
A strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
