Senior BI Analyst – Supply Chain Analytics

6-Month Contract (with potential to extend or convert to full-time)

Fully Remote (onsite in Vinings, GA from Mon-Thurs if converted to FTE)

Overview

We are seeking a Senior BI Analyst with expertise in Python, SQL, Tableau, and predictive analytics . In this role, you will develop and deploy predictive models that enhance supply chain efficiency and improve forecasting accuracy. You will work with large datasets across SAP and Snowflake environments to deliver strategic insights, with a strong focus on forecasting container arrivals, optimizing inventory levels, and identifying cost-saving opportunities – all in support of a major ERP modernization and the nationwide consolidation of distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities

• System Migration : Lead data analysis and reporting for a major migration from a legacy ERP to SAP Warehouse Management, with reporting transitioning to Snowflake. Ensure reporting continuity and accuracy during warehouse migration and system changes.
• SQL Optimization : Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries to ensure accuracy, high performance, and minimal server load across large datasets.
• Python Predictive Analytics : Perform predictive modeling in Python to forecast container arrivals, inventory levels, and other supply chain KPIs.
• Tableau Dashboards : Build and maintain robust, user-friendly Tableau dashboards to support supply chain forecasting, performance monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Data Analysis : Analyze operational data to identify anomalies, investigate root causes, and recommend actionable solutions.
• Financial Modeling : Provide scenario planning, develop financial models, and deliver cost-benefit analysis and decision support tools to guide strategic initiatives.
• Mentorship : Mentor other analysts on SQL query optimization, Tableau dashboard architecture, and validation of Python-based predictive models.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics roles, with heavy emphasis on Python and predictive analytics .
• Proven experience with forecasting models and statistical methods applied to supply chain operations .
• Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or equivalent libraries).
• Expertise in SQL for querying and optimizing large datasets.
• Proficiency in Tableau for building interactive and high-performance dashboards.
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
