Specialized Recruiting Group is hiring a Senior Software Test Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with a leading client in the pharmaceutical industry.

This position is 100% onsite in Raleigh, NC, and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

The Senior Software Test Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of desktop software applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, including the development of automated testing frameworks for GUI applications. This position requires strong hands-on experience with both automated and manual testing methodologies.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, and execute automated software testing frameworks, including unit and functional test scripts for desktop application GUIs using tools such as SQUISH.
• Conduct comprehensive manual testing to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience across various scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a senior role.
• Demonstrated experience in test automation for desktop applications, particularly GUI testing.
• Strong knowledge of testing tools (e.g., SQUISH) and testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Raleigh, NC; no remote work available.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
