Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.

Duties

• Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and train staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and inventory control
• Conduct employee orientation and training sessions to develop team capabilities
• Handle payroll processing and bookkeeping tasks accurately
• Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales
• Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to achieve store goals
• Manage cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy in transactions
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management
• Conduct interviews and participate in the recruiting process for new hires
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Skills

• Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships
• Proficient in retail math for budgeting, pricing, and financial analysis
• Experience in managing point-of-sale (POS) systems and cashiering processes
• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on training & development of staff
• Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote store initiatives effectively
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
