We are currently hiring experienced Structural Welders to support a project at a local shipyard in Honolulu, HI. This position involves welding and fabricating structural components, including plating, tanks, and assemblies for vessels. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of FCAW processes, can weld in multiple positions, and adheres to high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structural welding on vessels and marine structures per specifications
Weld fabricated, cast, and forged components in all positions (2G, 3G, 4G)
Work with FCAW processes using wire types 71T-1 and 811N3
Weld fillet, V-groove butt joints, and ceramic butt joints
Use carbon arc gouging (air arc) to cut, shape, or groove metal
Prepare work surfaces by cleaning and/or pre-heating as required
Inspect weld sizes, appearance, and ensure conformance to standards
Clean weld areas and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Follow all safety protocols and shipyard work procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
