Job Description

Location: Seattle area (Seattle proper and/or the Eastside)

Compensation: $25–35/hour

Schedule: Part-time (20 hours/week), 8–10 weeks during summer (June–August)

At Coding with Kids , we believe every child should have the opportunity to learn how to code in a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment. This summer, we’re looking for a Site Lead & Instructional Coach to join our team and help us deliver exceptional camp experiences across multiple locations in the Seattle area.

This is a seasonal leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced educational settings, loves working with children, and enjoys coaching fellow educators to do their best work.

What You’ll Do

As a Site Lead & Instructional Coach, you’ll be the go-to person for making each day of camp successful. Your work will be a blend of operations, staff support, and instructional quality assurance. Specifically, you will:

  • Serve as the main liaison between camp sites, instructors, and the operations team.
  • Facilitate on-site professional development and training for instructors.
  • Observe classrooms and provide real-time instructional coaching and feedback.
  • Model teaching practices and co-teach when needed to support instructors.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations and promptly communicate any site needs.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for both students and staff.
  • Uphold all safety, instructional, and operational standards.

  • Have prior teaching experience (computer science or STEM education preferred).
  • Have coached or mentored other educators in a school, camp, or training setting.

  • Are available to work part-time (20 hours/week) across 8–10 weeks in summer. Scheduling is flexible based on site needs.
