Role: Systems Manager

Location: Milwaukee, WI ( Hybrid, 3 days Onsite)

About the Role

The Systems Manager will oversee the IT infrastructure and operations, ensuring effective management of system solutions and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee system engineering and management.
• Manage IT infrastructure and operations.
• Evaluate costs and develop business cases.
• Define short- and long-term strategies.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 10+ years of experience in System Engineering.
• 5+ years of direct management experience in IT infrastructure and operations.

Required Skills

• Expertise in system solutions including server management, virtualization, backup, recovery, and cloud platforms.
• Strong ability to evaluate costs, develop business cases, and define short- and long-term strategies.
• Proven track record in vendor management and contract negotiations.
• Ability to foster a strong, cohesive, and collaborative team environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic vision for enterprise-wide system management and direction.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong multitasking and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize high-impact initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Preferred experience with Windows, Linux, VMware, Citrix, AWS, and GCP.
• Preferred certifications in AWS, GCP, Windows, and Linux.
• Management training and leadership development.
• ITIL Certification.
