Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the surgical setting, providing support to surgeons and other medical staff during procedures. This position is essential for ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently in various environments, including ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, and trauma centers.

Duties

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating their needs.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical process, adhering to strict protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with patient positioning before and during surgery.
• Document medical records accurately and maintain proper inventory of surgical supplies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings including ORs, Level I and II trauma centers, and PICUs.
• Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments post-procedure.
• Stay updated on advancements in surgical technology and techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Surgical Technician or similar role within an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting.
• Knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and medical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with medical records management systems and hospital medicine practices.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments such as operating rooms or trauma centers.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Certification from an accredited surgical technology program is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and patients.

Pay: $44.61 per hour
