An engineer by training, Jim Hooker joined the British Flat Roofing Council in 1991 as its technical director.
Having initially trained as a QS, I moved into roofing sales in 1990 and have spent most of my working life in this industry, working for both manufacturers and contractors
After joining BriggsAmasco in 1989 and holding positions at various levels within the Company I was appointed to the Board
Nine years with Sika, mostly in SPM from a commercial & technical sales position.
I have worked within the construction products industry for 28 years
Mike has a wealth of commercial experience and expertise in roofing and cladding having spent 24 years working for SSQ and Eternit.
Following graduation from Swansea University with a BSc Honors degree in Energy Studies I have attained 36 years' experience in the roofing industry, having worked for 25 years with Rockwool Limited and 11 years with SFS. For much of this time I have been involved with the flat roofing market in both commercial and technical roles. I have been a SPRA Council Member for 17 years and chaired the SPRA Technical Committee for 4 years during 2008-2012.
