Again, a very active week at SPRA and a lot going on throughout the construction industry.
Firstly, many thanks to Sheryle for coming back from holiday to help me put this week’s Weekly News together!
Highlighted this week are the Build UK Weekly Statement. Quite a few good links here covering many issues related to the coronavirus and actions taking place. Certainly worth clicking through these.
The government has published important information regarding apprenticeships and information is given below that may be useful to those individuals and companies affected.
Brunton’s blog this week stresses the importance and inspirational aspects of the SPRA Awards and looks forward to these in 2021.
In our Members only area this week the publishing of the draft Building Safety Bill by MHCLG is highlighted with information from the CPA as well as details of a revised guidance manual rewritten by MHCLG to the Building Regulations for England.
Also the draft of BS 5250 just out for public consultation is also highlighted in the Members area.
Finally for members, two very important items concerning our first virtual Technical Committee meeting next week (Tuesday 28th July at 10.00am) and also details of the upcoming SPRA Elections is again given for members in case you missed it last week.
