A warm welcome this week to all SPRA members and readers of the SPRA Weekly News.
Another information packed edition for readers this week. We like to keep all informed of current industry issues and also highlight events that may be of interest or necessary to know about.
SPRA are delighted to announce this week that Anthony Hogan has taken up his post dealing with all matters technical and can be reached at anthony.hogan@spra.co.uk. Anthony is a vital addition to the SPRA team to help support members and work on a caseload of important industry issues that will assist in shaping our industry sector over the coming years. I am sure you will join me in welcoming Anthony to SPRA.
Our planning for the industry event of the year, the SPRA Conference and Awards 2021, is well underway and please ensure you read the enclosed update in the General Area below.
This week, as always, we provide in some detail, in the various items and updates, information on single ply training. The range of courses has never been greater at SPRA and there is something for everyone involved in single ply. And following the theme of this year’s SPRA Conference – get confident, get competent, get trained! For contractor members, please see the information regarding the restarting of the SAP programme. Really great news here and we will be pushing hard to get more trainees involved now that we are back up and running!
The rest of this week’s news centres around information coming from the UK and Scottish governments as well as the UK construction bodies and includes important items on Flexible Working in Construction, Women in Construction and a new Competition and Markets Authority Construction campaign.
As always, hope you find the enclosed interesting and informative.
We wish all well and have a safe and productive week.
