New EU Consultation on TiO2 (Message from British Coatings Federation)
The European Commission has launched a new (unexpected) public consultation on the proposed Adaptation to Technical Progress to the CLP Regulation, which includes TiO2. It seems that all the pressure that they received has triggered this action. They have done this under the Better Regulation initiative and will consider the input received for their discussion at the REACH Committee on February 14-15.
We (BCF) have drafted some points that you might like to consider and include in your submission. It is probably best if you don’t just cut and paste, but use information specific to your company and in your own words.
It is structured from a Better Regulation approach, as that is the basis of the consultation, so mainly focussing on CLP being the wrong regulation and the effects on downstream legislation.

The deadline for commenting is February 8.
