European Standards for Building Information Modelling – a BSI Guide
While work progresses within the European BIM standards programme, Spring 2020 is likely to be the earliest any European standards for managing construction product data will be published, and there are currently no UK product data standards available for use in the interim.
To provide some clarity on the European standards programme, the British Standards Institution has produced a document for CPA members outlining how British Standards are developed, and their interaction with international standards. The document also outlines how the European standards for BIM work will potentially impact key UK standards including the PAS 1192 series.
