Introduction
As the run up to Christmas begins it certainly has a different feel this year. Clearly the year has been dominated by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic from a health and safety perspective, and our news this week continues to reflect this. There is updated safety guidance for travel from the UK Government and a CITB survey on mental health and wellbeing highlighted in the General Area.
In the Members Area this week we give details on the availability of a report on the supply of construction materials after the end of the Brexit transition period by Build UK and CIPS. There is also an update by the HSE on how the regulation of chemicals will change after the UK transition period ends.
Further information in the Members Area also includes reference to the latest update to Approved Document B volumes 1 & 2 published by MHCLG as reported by the CPA and also information on the CLC recommendation concerning updates to Card Schemes. We also draw attention to the CPA and BEIS Webinar About the Construction Playbook and how to register for the event running on the 7th December.
Again I draw your attention to two SPRA related items; firstly the WLCP 2nd set of sessions running from the 11th December and there still may be a space left here and how to register as well as the need for all SPRA members to complete their annual membership audit.
As always, I hope you find the enclosed helpful and wish all SPRA members a safe and successful week ahead.
