Introduction
Again, this week’s SPRA Weekly News has extensive coverage of the extensive information coming from government and other bodies over this autumn period. This in the main is in relation to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the announcement last week by the UK Government of a one-month lockdown in England. There is information from the government and Build UK in both the General and Members Area covering these issues which include the furlough scheme extension, a letter from the CLC to the construction industry and information on payments as well as supporting jobs in the construction sector.
Our Members Area has further information on issues concerning the end of the Transition Period on 31st December this year and highlights updated guidance from UK Government on the requirements for UKNI marking as well as guidance on Northern Ireland and UK REACH, CLP, BPR and PIC. The CLC in the last week has also published conformity marking guidance post-Brexit and this is also covered in the Members Area.
As always, I hope you find the enclosed helpful and wish all SPRA members a safe and successful week.
