A warm welcome this week to all SPRA members and readers of the SPRA Weekly News.
With the Easter weekend there has been few additional reports out due to the Friday and Monday holiday. However, as always, please note the SPRA items concerning training that we continue to focus on.
Training, and support for training, is fundamental in continuing to drive the quality agenda and we ask you to consider your training needs and how they can be met through the SPRA highlighted courses highlighted every week in the SPRA Weekly News.
For SPRA members we would like to draw your attention to a new national foreword in relation to BSI Designated Standards and also the Building Safety eBulletin released last week in which Dame Judith Hackitt gives her thoughts on maintaining a proportionate and affordable approach to existing buildings to achieve an acceptable level of safety.
Also in the Members Area this week we provide an update from the Scottish CICV Forum which provides information on the CLC’s “CO2nstruct Zero” initiative concerning UNCOP26 Climate Change Conference in November in Glasgow and also provides information on the Police Scotland Labour Exploitation campaign.
Finally, we again remind our members to get your roofing projects in for the revamped SPRA Awards running on 16th June as a first ever virtual event and part of the SPRA Virtual Conference this year. Closing date for SPRA Award applications is 30th April.
We wish all well and hope you have a safe and productive week.
