Introduction
Again this week we have a bumper edition of the SPRA Weekly News. The news continues to be dominated by the joint issues of the Covid-19 pandemic and the approaching end of the Brexit transition period on 31st December 2020.
A recap of the various pandemic related restrictions in place throughout the UK is given in the General Area as well as more information on the current Job Retention Scheme. We also draw your attention to the SPRA WLCP sessions on wind load calculations which have now started and members and non-members alike have the option of participating in.
We are also pleased this month to provide some thoughts from Paul Griffiths of Recticel Insulation, in our ‘View from the Council’ feature.
In our Members Area this week there is more guidance information from the UK Government concerning the movement of goods post the Brexit transition period as well as information, and how to register, for a webinar being hosted by the CPA with BEIS participating concerning the Construction Playbook.
Finally, again a reminder to all members to complete their annual audit forms and to get these back to SPRA as soon as possible.
As always, I hope you find the enclosed helpful and wish all SPRA members a safe and successful week ahead.
