The month of August this year is proving to be as busy as ever and indeed this week’s SPRA Weekly News hopefully provides some positivity. Highlighted this week is some significant improvement reported in construction activity for July.
In our Members Area this week attention is drawn to an important review at CEN level in the EU concerning wind loading and a recent meeting that SPRA participated in from a UK perspective. Also in the Members Area we provide details from Build UK on two issues that will be of interest and may require a response from those concerned. These relate to this year’s Working Rule Agreement and changes proposed by the CITB to the 2021 levy rate.
The CPA has launched a new PAS (Publicly Available Specification) for Construction Data Dictionaries during the past week and further information is provided.
We round off our Weekly News this week with a new feature that will be included each month that we are sure members will find interesting; View from the Council – this new addition will provide the views and hopes of current Council members for the work of the organisation. Council member John McMullan (Firestone) is first to provide his comments.
Wishing all SPRA members a safe and successful week
