SPRA is a highly respected, pro-active, and forward-thinking trade association that works hard for its members and for the industry as a whole. A strong SPRA Council plays an important part in this and at election time we are always looking for dynamic individuals who want to give something back to our industry sector, who can promote the SPRA spirit and want to steer the organisation to even greater influence in both the roofing and wider sector to promote quality, competence, and industry standards.
Current Council structure (Representatives per membership category): 1 Affiliate, 3 Associate, 4 Membrane, 4 Contractor, Technical Committee Chair
Number of Council positions available to vote for this year: 1 Membrane, 3 Contractor
The timetable for the nomination process is as follows:
Nominations for Council Members open Thursday 27th Jul at 12 noon
Nominations close Thursday 10th Aug at 12 noon
AGM Notice to include all nominees for above positions Thursday 10th Aug at 5pm
Voting opens for Council Fri 18th Aug at 5pm
Voting closes for Council Fri 1st Sep at 5pm
If more nominations are received than Council places available for any category; a ballot of members of that category will be held before the SPRA AGM which takes places on 7th September 2023.
So – please nominate yourself, or a colleague working at Director level within your company as per the deadlines above. Council members stand for a two-year term after which they will stand down or seek re-election for another two year term.
