Build UK this week highlighted the following in relation to face coverings; face
The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) statement on The Use of Face Coverings in Construction during Coronavirus recommends that face coverings are worn where workers on site are not required to wear RPE and their workplace is an enclosed space where social distancing isn’t always possible and they come into contact with others they do not normally meet.
Workers should be reminded that good hygiene is essential and face coverings should:
- cover both the nose and mouth
- fit comfortably
- be kept clean and replaced when dirty, wet or damaged
- be handled as little as possible and only with clean hands
- be disposed of in a waste bin.
