Previously the CPA have reported on the work being undertaken reviewing the response to flooding and future resilience measures. This review is being headed up by Dr Peter Bonfield and has the support of DEFRA DECC and DCLG, including senior officials and ministers. On the 3rd August commencing at 1.30 with registration at 1.00, at the building centre, CPA is holding a workshop focusing on manufacturers and products relevant in this area.

This workshop provides a substantial opportunity to network with insurers, financial organisations, and other industry bodies, as well as departmental representatives, concerned with flood risk and flooded assets of commercial, domestic and new build sectors. CPA would like to showcase what members are currently offering and what they may be able to offer in the future and would also like to review procurement and appropriate use of products in response to flooding. CPA are calling for expressions of interest to attend and perhaps provide a short presentation of their interest and previous involvement in the subject. If interested, please contact Peter L. Caplehorn RIBA, Deputy Chief Executive and Policy Director, peter.caplehorn@constructionproducts.org.uk
