The CPA launched a new website and logo this week. Our aim is that the website will be more members-focused, more useful and better organised than its predecessor. Key features include more relevant content, a cleaner and more attractive design and a more engaging user experience for both members and non-members alike with enhanced navigation and search.

With this in mind, together with data privacy, CPA members (which includes SPRA members) will be prompted when logging in for the first time to create a new profile which may require changing passwords if you wish to gain access to premium, members-only pages (e.g., economic forecasts, committee papers, etc.). If you have questions, comments or any technical difficulties, please contact jeff.may@constructionproducts.org.uk. Please also note that the CPA’s Spring Forecast was also released this week. The Forecast is available free to SPRA members via the CPA website. Highlights include:

  • Construction output is forecast to rise 3.0% in 2016 and 3.6% in 2017
  • Private housing starts expected to rise 5.0% in both 2016 and 2017
  • New offices activity anticipated to increase 7.0% in 2016 and 6.0% in 2017
  • Retail construction expected to fall 1.0% in 2016 and only rise 2.0% in 2017
  • Warehouses activity forecast to increase 23.7% by 2019
  • Infrastructure work is anticipated to rise 56.3% by 2019
