The government is reviewing the tax environment for R&D, which will conclude at the Spring Budget on 8th March. The CPA will be working closely with the CBI and other trade associations to share and align messages and finalise a policy position in the following areas:
• The competitiveness of the UK’s tax environment for R&D
• Measures to increase the effectiveness of the system
• Aspects of the regime most important to business
• How tax influences decisions on R&D and location
• The capital allowance for R&D.
