Have you been frustrated by clicking a link on a SPRA News article, only to find that you can’t read the whole thing as you aren’t a member? Or maybe you are a member and you want to share the article with a client or colleague and can’t? We’ve listened to these concerns, and are going to change the way we do things to make sure we don’t put up unnecessary barriers-especially when it relates to spreading best practice and improving quality across the sector!
From now on – any Member-Only news will be highlighted in a single SPRA Members Bulletin article within the newsletter. All headlines will be in this one news item, so that members can follow the links and go through the members area to get to the individual articles. All other articles will always be open access. In addition, we know how much members enjoy Jim’s Jotter, and of course now there will also be Brunton’s Blog to look forward to! So these will not automatically be Member Only – but will only be restricted for certain subject areas.
We want to encourage all SPRA member employees to access and use the SPRA members area. Although we acknowledge that the first computer generated password is horrific (!) it is very easy for the user to change this to something more memorable. And once logged in, a member stays logged in until he or she closed the website. If you need a SPRA website member login, please go to the website login page to make this request and the lovely Sheryle will get this sorted for you (She’s away this week, but will be back on Monday to action any requests!)
We hope these changes meet with a big ‘thumbs up’. We always want to hear from members with suggestions for issues to be addressed or considered via the SPRA news, or indeed to let us know about any activities that your company has been involved with that support quality, training, health and safety or any other initiative that supports the continued improvement and sustainability of the single ply industry.
And finally, no Jotter or Blog this week due to annual leave – normal service resumed next week!
